{slider What are your hours of operation?}

Our office is open Monday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. EST. If you get the voice mail, leave a message and we will return your call at our very first opportunity.

{slider Can I order the Workshop on Video or Audio Tape?}

Not at this time. However, please continue to monitor our website and newsletters because we do offer webinars throughout the year.

{slider What is your Cancellation/Refund policy?}

We accept cancellations up to 15 days prior to the start of the workshop. Any registrant who cancels within this time frame will receive a full refund minus the cancellation fee*. If a registrant cancels between the 5th – 14th day preceding the workshop, the participants will have the option to attend a future class within one year of the original workshop or receive a 50% refund minus the cancellation fee*. No refunds will be given for cancellations occurring 5 days or less before the start of the workshop. If you cannot attend a workshop, you may send an alternate from your company to the same workshop. You need to notify our office immediately by phone (407) 290-2754 if you need to make any changes.

If D. L. Newslow & Associates, Inc. has to cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances (illness, emergency, death in family, hurricane, etc.), you will receive a full refund of your registration fee or you will be able to apply it to another workshop. We are not responsible for any charges incurred as a result of travel changes or cancellations. We recommend booking travel directly with the airline, hotel, etc. rather than through an internet site such as Priceline or Travelocity, because the companies are always more willing to work with you on changes if you book with them directly.

Note*: The cancellation fee is defined as 25% of the total cost, up to a maximum of $200 per workshop.

Go to the registration area of our websiteto register online and pay by credit card. If paying by check, please contact us by calling (407) 290-2754. Our system is not able to accept check payment on line.

{slider What time are the workshops?}

Although the workshops may vary in time (look at the individual class description to see the times listed), most classes run from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with a couple of breaks and time for lunch. Lunch is provided unless the class ends at noon.

{slider When do I have to register to receive the Early Bird Discount?}

You will need to register and pay at least 30 days prior to the start of the workshop in order to receive the early bird discount.

{slider Am I able to use more than one discount code when I register?}

You can only use more than one discount code if you register and pay at least 30 days prior to the workshop starting. The early bird discount would be automatic and you would see it reflected in your final price. You don’t actually have to enter the code to get this discount. If you have another discount code, you can enter it in the “Discount Code” field when you checkout. This discount will also be reflected in your final price.

{slider I don’t have time to leave the plant to attend a workshop. Would you come to my worksite and hold the workshop there?}

Of course, we want to make it easy for you. Contact us by using our website contact formto discuss the specific workshop and the scope of training that you would like to accomplish. We are also offering specifically focused webinars that bring key topics to you without having to travel.

{slider What type of dress is required at the workshops?}

We do not have a dress code, but business casual is the normal attire. You might want to bring a sweater or jacket since the room tends to be cool.Jeans are acceptable.

{slider Will you have materials for sale at the workshops?}

We always bring a variety of books, CDs and DVDs to each workshop that cover a variety of food safety subjects. Some are available in English and Spanish. Both of Debby’s book are available for sale during these workshops. We accept credit cards and cash for your purchases. We also have an assortment of “free” materials such as articles, FDA bulletins and training programs. We are happy to ship materials you purchase to your location to save you from having to carry them on the airplane.

{slider Will I receive a certificate once I complete the course?}

You will receive a certificate indicating the specific course and related referenced criteria upon completion of the course. If the course is an FSPCA curriculum (i.e., Preventive Controls or Foreign Supplier Verification Programs) then you will receive your certificate electronically via email from the International Food Protection Training Institute. Contact IFPTI directly for certificate issues for these courses. If you are taking the HACCP Plan Development or the Advanced HACCP course you will also receive the International HACCP Alliance Gold Seal. Completion of these classes provide evidence of attendance to course approved by the IHA, which is critical for compliance to a GFSI approved scheme.

{slider Will lunch or snacks be provided?}

Snacks and beverages are provided throughout the workshop. Lunch is provided on full instructional days.

{slider I have a friend/spouse traveling with me. Would they be able to join us for lunch?}

Yes, as long as you notify us before the workshop begins. Since lunches are catered we will need to notify the caterer in advance. There will also be a separate charge for anyone who joins you for lunch. Please notify us at 407-290-2754. The actual charge depends on the specific lunch of the day. We can provide this information at the time of notification.

{slider I have special dietary requests for lunch. Can I request a special lunch?}

{slider What should I bring?}

You will be given a workshop binder when you get to the workshop so that you can follow along and take notes. Additional paper, pens, or highlighters are certainly acceptable. Also, you might want to dress in layers and bring a jacket or sweater since the room temperature changes throughout the day. If you are attending a HACCP workshop, don’t forget to bring your HACCP plan with you. The instructors will be glad to answer any of your questions and assist you in any way possible.

{slider Will there be any special activities offered at night?}

No, you will be on your own after the workshop ends each day. But there are plenty of restaurants, shops, and other entertainment close by. There is also a trolley service that runs on Universal Boulevard and International Drive and stops at over 100 locations every day (visit www.iridetrolley.com ).
