Melissa began her career in the financial industry and then proceeded to Darden Restaurants and worked in their corporate offices for 12 years. After graduating from the University of Central Florida, with a B.S. in Business Administration, she continued to garner work experience in several different industries.

In January 2008, Melissa joined D. L. Newslow & Associates. Over the years, Melissa has continued to learn more about the food and beverage industry and has handled several facets of the company at various times. She has continued her education by completing several courses and exams along the way. She is a Certified Food Safety Manager (certified through NRFSP and ServSafe) and is able to administer those exams along with the Certified Food Safety HACCP Manager exam (through NRFSP). She is currently a member of the Florida IFT and FAFP.

Melissa enjoys working with others and meeting other people in the industry at conferences or other professional events. She works directly with our partners to help strengthen and promote each other in the marketplace. She stays up to date on the ever-changing world of social media and methods of marketing. She continues to work on our vision for the future.
