DAN STONE

Dan is specialized as a Certified Organic Auditor. He is a subject matter expert in Chilled (clean, ultra clean, aseptic) and Hot Fill Technologies and microbiology. He has experience in consulting with food and beverage manufacturers including citrus (extraction, processing and packaging), sports drinks, cereals and grains, and dairy.

 

Dan has managed variance or process deviations for juice and low-acid products. He also organizes and conducts organizational training for juice and low-acid products and leads quality improvement audits/programs for key ingredient and packaging suppliers (including high risk, low-acid ingredients.)

 

Dan has worked in Europe, Asia, and South America where he has conducted facility, equipment, product, package, and microbiological qualifications. He provides packaging and microbiological technical quality support for new facility set-ups and new product launches worldwide. He is influential in seamlessly integrating new acquisitions into a customer’s portfolio.

 

Over the years, Dan has assumed the responsibilities of the risk manager and has handled the claims compliance for a Non-GMO project along with USDA Organic. He was also able to develop the CQV process for non-ESL, ESL and aseptic processes.

 

Dan graduated from Marshall University in Huntington, W.V. with a BS in Biology and Zoology and  a MA. in Education. He is currently a member of Florida IFT.

 

Dan is lives in Riverview, Florida. He enjoys  traveling and has been to several different countries and many states within the U.S. He has a French bulldog  that enjoys taking day trips around Florida with him. Dan is a car enthusiast and besides owning a Camaro, he enjoys going to various car shows.
