What is FSSC 22000 V6?

FSSC 22000 Version 6 (Food Safety System Certification) is a certification scheme for food safety management systems based on ISO 22000 and PRP specifications.


It has three main components:


  • ISO 22000, the international standard for food safety management systems

  • The relevant PRP specification/s (ISO/TS standards and BSI PAS), which provide the technical requirements for specific food.

  • The FSSC Additional Requirements, which include topics such as environmental monitoring, food defense, food fraud mitigation, food safety and quality culture, and transport tank.
