Learning the Tools (7 Basic Quality Tools)

This two-and-a-half-day workshop introduces the seven basic quality tools for root cause analysis and problem solving. The three tools used to facilitate organized brainstorming include Affinity, Fishbone and Interrelationship Diagraph. The remaining four tools, Pareto, Run chart, Scatter Diagram and Flowchart, are utilized to understand the current state of a process and to monitor the effectiveness of improvements to the processes. Attendees will gain an understanding of how to use these tools by utilizing real life examples and performing various demonstrations during the workshop. This will determine root causes of undesirable outcomes so that permanent solutions can be implemented after utilizing effective problem solving.

It is recommended that attendees have taken one or more basic Risk Analysis, CAPA/Root Cause or the Principles of Lean Manufacturing with Live Simulations workshop prior to attending since this workshop is a more advanced level.
